Since Super Saturday is too close to Christmas, most people opt to shop in stores and online retailers normally take a few days to ship items and people do not want to be late in getting their gifts. However, there are ways that online retailers have in order to entice people to shop on their sites.

Most online retailers have sent emails and newsletters to their customers reminding them to beat the Super Saturday rush and buy their gifts early to allow for shipping. This is done in the hope of enticing people to buy before the actual last Saturday before Christmas. Retailers are nudging online shoppers with many reminders that they should go and get their orders in on or before Super Saturday, so that their packages will arrive in time for Christmas and their gifts will not be late.

Online shoppers also offer special sales and promotions as the shipping deadlines get nearer and nearer. Online retailers also start offering bigger and bigger discounts to entice people to buy ahead. As there is not so much online retailers can do about their shipping deadlines, they try their best to entice customers to buy early.

Most e-Commerce shopping sites have December 18 as the deadline for placing orders so that merchandise can be delivered by Christmas. Although online shoppers do not need to experience standing in long lines or be bothered by the winter weather and be restricted by store hours, they do need to plan ahead. There are some online retailers that may offer overnight shipping options for Christmas delivery until the 23rd of December but there are no hard and fast rules as to whether there will be more retailers willing to do this.

Other online retailers offer free shipping but with conditions pertaining to minimum order value or order size. These offers are very enticing for customers. Although shipping is not free for retailers, these online businesses know that these promotions can give them an edge over their competitors and are relying heavily on these to bring in shoppers this holiday season.

Aside from free shipping, online retailers are also offering free giftwrapping so that customers can have their gifts delivered to the intended recipients already wrapped. These can save many consumers time as they do not need to wrap and then send their gifts to the people they are intended for.

So if you are intending to shop online for your Christmas gifts, remember not to put the shopping off too late or you may have some problems having your merchandise shipped in time for Christmas. Do note that you can make take advantage of their nearby favorite store's online shops so that there will be lesser shipping problems. Online shoppers should also consider hunting for the sites that offer free giftwrapping as this will also save them time.
