How Do I Choose The Right MLM Company? Take A Look At The Compensation Plan!

If you are looking for the right MLM company, one of the most important things you can do before you join is to take a look at the compensation plan! Be sure to understand exactly how their plan works, how it will help you earn income, and how it will affect the people in your downline organization.

Some of the things you should know about the compensation plan include, the requirements by the company to begin to earn money with the company like how expensive is the starting sales kit. You should know how you are going to be rewarded. Is it for recruiting your own personally enrolled team, or for building your downline (or both)? How does the plan compare to others you have studied? What are the bonuses, benefits and incentives that will add to your income? Is the residual income good?

A very important aspect of a compensation plan is what drives the sale of company products. In other words, what is it that drives the company to pay you income. Even though the compensation plan may have many advantages that are very desirable, you have to make sure that it focuses on marketing their products to consumers. If it focuses on paying you by the number of people you enroll, and not sales volume, you should stay away from that MLM company because a company will thrive on selling product, and it won't survive long term if it bases it's business on enrolling people or selling products to mostly downline distributors!

If a downline member of your team fails to qualify to earn the commission on their purchase volume in a certain month, You as their direct upline, should have that commission "roll up" to you. In otherwords if that company fails to "roll up" that commission to the appropriate upline (you), that means they are returning the commission the company. If a company does this, you should avoid that company.

Some other things that a company should include in their compensation plan is how much of the sales volume they pay back to their sales force. Most plans pay at least 35% of their wholesale and retail sales volume. Also, make sure that once you reach a certain level in the company, they do not take that achievement away from you when there is a temporary decrease in your monthly volume. Make sure that level of achievement is permanent. Most companies have other perks for great performance. They come in the form of vacations, bonuses, recognition to name a few. The compensation plans of most companies offer at least some perks for top performance above and beyond commissions and bonuses.

Choosing the right MLM company takes time and research and can be tedious to say the least. My advice to you is to study the compensation plans, and then call the company and have them explain it to you and answer your questions. Doing this can be worth thousands and thousands of dollars to you in your future time with your company. In fact, it can be the difference between making a great living with a company and struggling to earn a very modest amount of money!
