That is why there is so much competition for ranks. However, it is not easy to acquire increased rank. If there was, then ranking would lose much of its aforementioned prestige. In order to understand how rank is figured out, it is important to look at how it is not tabulated. Let us make something very clear rank in Gears of War 2 is most definitely not accumulated by points and kills alone. Once again, it is not the easiest thing in the gaming world to move up on the ranking ladder of Gears of War 2. However, those that are able to rise to the occasion and increase their ranks can feel a sense of pride and accomplishment in their actions. After all, they have done something very few have been able to duplicate.
