How HR Should Deal With Harassment Issues In Today's World

Bullying in a work place is an offensive behavior that undermines and humiliates an individual or group of people

. Bullying in a work place can happen in private or public. Some examples of being bullied in a work place involve the following: being yelled at, being subjected to sarcasm, being criticized in a manner that is inappropriate, belittling someone's work, appearance or personality, being set up for failure with workloads that are impossible. How HR should deal with harassment issues when it comes to work place bullying is up to them, but in many cases this is calls for dismissal from the job.

Sexual harassment is nothing fun to deal with in a work place either. This involves unwanted introduction of sexual comments. Some examples of sexual harassment involve physical contact that is unwanted, persistent requests for sexual encounters, display of indecent pictures and explicit promises of rewards if you go through certain measures. As you may already know, harassment in the work place happens more than we realize it. Many individuals who go through work place bullying do not realize that work place bullying is against the law and something needs to be done about it. When you have any problem with harassment, you should contact your HR department.
