How I Became So Successful: My Secret Weapon, The Arko Method
For years, I read books on how to be successful
. While I understood their basic message, I couldnt find a single method or system that worked indefinitely. Then, in the late 1990s, I started working with a few different motivational speakers and direct marketers on the internet. These gurus had so much gold in their material, but it was unrefined. You had to find it, mine it, and shine it up yourself to make your dreams come true.This was the new frontier; the wild, wild west of the world wide web.
I searched through all kinds of information from professionals to unknowns. Some things worked, though most didnt. Finally, I found there were four common ideas that ran through the ones that did work. I had to find an easy way to keep these four things in mind every time I wrote a new article, designed a new product, or recorded a new video. Suddenly, it hit me: my last name! It was a perfect acronym for the four ideas! I laughed over and over againas my notes proved my secret to be true.
Are you wondering how to become successful and take your business to a new level? If you've been searching, like I was, but have only found bits of unrefined gold, I can help you. My method only contains gold. All you have to do is shine it up to make your business successful.
First, we have to know what the ARKO method is. It's so simple and easy to do that you will laugh, too, when you learn it.
There are four things every product or service needs to include for it to be profitable and successful. If you are starting a new business or new niche market online, you can apply this to developing that business, or you can take an already existing business to the next level.
These four ideas come before the keyword research, or before buying the right video camera for your videos. They are more important than what you sell to your market; they are the stuff that makes your product, service, method, system, or business tick.
ARKO is a great way to remember these four things:
A is for action. Its the action you take or the action you want your prospect or client to take. We talk more about this is a separate article devoted to just this topic.
R is recoding, or Mental Potency. A potent mind is full of potential that is being released and doing things. Once you have your mentality coded for potential, the world looks fuller, bigger, brighter, and more exciting. I wrote an entire book on the subject, Unleash Your Hidden Potential.
K is knowledge. Your knowledge, in most cases, but sometimes it can be the people you are selling to and what they know or want to know.
O is the opportunities that happen in our lives. I'll teach you to make more of the right kind of opportunity happen so you can use the A for action. Its also the opportunities we want to give to others through our products and services. In addition, the partners or joint ventures that happen in our life. Moreover, its the opportunity to offer upsells, other goods, and more stuff.
Its the ability to always be thinking what will be my next product after the one I am doing now.
Look for these words in each event that takes place in your day: your work, your products and services, and your life in general. You will see that this is a simple and quick way to accomplish more, gift yourself more time and freedom and, of course, profit.
Practice recognizing opportunities, take note of your actions, be aware of how much potential your mind is creating, and expand your knowledge. In the next three articles, I will talk about each area in depth so you can build on your foundation, and then bring it all together in a final article on the topic so you can start applying it easily to not just your business, but to any situation in your life.
