Because of this, it's possible that when you first arrive at home you will not be able to tell much of a difference in your overall size. You may also experience some amount of bruising, and you will be leaking out the excess fluids from the sites of your incision. In short, just after you come home, you might not be looking the best you ever have! But don't worry, your results will start to appear shortly.

The draining should hopefully finish within just a few days, or perhaps a week. As the incisions continue to drain, the swelling will go down. Even after the draining is done, your swelling will continue to go down over the next weeks and months.

But even after the swelling is gone, your appearance will likely continue to improve. You may have some excess skin because of the removal of the fat. As you recover, your skin will slowly begin to tighten again. It will probably reach its optimal point somewhere around 6 months after the surgery.
