This not only increased the uniqueness of the mobile phone, but it also created a flurry of competition among other manufacturers. This also helped in making the customer more knowledgeable about mobile phones, buit also allowed them to demand more from their mobile device. Basically, Nokia can be considered to be the pioneer in bringing newer technology to the mobile phone on a mainstream level. Of course, this does not mean that other manufacturers did not have technologically enhanced models, the Motorola Talkabout was one of the first devices in India that offered a WAP browser, but they never made as much as an impact as Nokia models made.
