How One Can Save Time And Money By Installing Unique African Style Woodburning Fires In The Home

Anyone who has ever attended an event such as a drum circle

, fire circle or gathering where fire circles are prevalent has most likely experienced the type of fire which African civilizations have been using since the dawn of time. However, today these woodburning fires are seeing a new place, not only in society but also in the home. As such, these fires are now being built both inside and outside many new and existing homes. In addition, one can save a great deal of time and energy by also using such fires for cooking and heating as do many in Africa and other developing countries.

Of course, while these fires were first built to protect the environment against the over harvesting of bio-fuels from the earth's core in developing countries, those building and installing such African style fires in the home are doing so more for decorative reasons than otherwise. Still, if one can learn to cook and heat with such fires as do many living in struggling societies, one can also save a great deal of time and money on their energy bills in the future.

Such fires first started when individuals needed to find more efficient ways of cooking and heating in order to protect vegetation and wildlife from the over harvesting of bio fuels, which in many locations had been the only way to cook and heat throughout time. However, not only are such fires for the home more energy efficient than other means of cooking and heating, these fires can also help the environment in the process. Although, one must generally be willing to build such fires from the ground up as there are very few, if any, existing African style fireplaces for sale on the market.

Although, as the information about the energy efficiency of such fires spread, so too the popularity of same. As such, while there may be very little opportunity to purchase such a ready made fireplace, it could be a great opportunity for a business minded individual to start developing and selling same in the future. For, in doing so, one can not only potentially create a great deal of income, one can also help the environment by providing friendlier and healthier ways to both cook and heat the home while also enjoying a beautiful decorative fireplace in the process.

For, while most fireplaces are built within a wall surrounded by brick, often protected by swinging glass doors and metal frames along with a mantle for displaying a variety of objects, African fires offer a more decorative, friendlier and open option. This is because when one builds an African style fireplace, often one is creating a community space as well. Why? Because unlike traditional fireplaces, African fireplaces are often built in the center of a room rather than being embedded into a wall. Regardless, whereas a traditional fireplace is often closed off, African oriented fireplaces are open as are the many fires burning in various regions of Africa.

So, while most such fires are built at large events, now one can have the same sense of feeling at gatherings in one's home whether such a fire exists in or outside such a dwelling. However, if one has never seen such a fire and needs to see an example, often local drum circles, gatherings or other events hold open circles which one can attend in order to check out how such fires are built. Although, one can also find a great deal of information on building rock stoves or three rock fires online though most are not associated with or as, African style fires.

Regardless, although African style woodburning fires are by far more creative and unique in styling than others, one can also save money by using such fires. This is because one can also cook and heat the home with such a fire, which is almost impossible when it comes to traditional fireplaces. For, while such fireplaces do often heat a room, it is by far more difficult to cook on traditional fireplaces as often rocks provide a better surface for cooking than do a combination of heated coals and wood.
