How Shy Guys Can Improve Their Dating Skills

. Seemingly, there are many options to meet new people such as sites, speed dating events or local clubs. However, for shy guys, options are not usually the core issue. Overcoming your own self doubt must be achieved in order to best utilize these options.

As a shy person, more than likely you've had your share of advice on how you should overcome your timid nature in order to pursue women with humorous repartee. No doubt these social mentors have your best interests at heart, but changing parts of someone's core personality is no easy task. If you're a shy guy, first and foremost you need to make a forthright decision to improve key elements of your personality. Start by identifying your strengths and you'll accelerate your likelihood of romantic success. Here's some hints to do just that.

Be eye-catchingly honest. Youll most likely recollect the approach by George Costanza in Seinfeld: "I'm George, I live at home with my parents, and I'm unemployed." Be honest and tell her the truth about the real you, tell her you're not a player. It's inspiring for a woman to meet someone who's able to be themselves, you're also increasing your odds of meeting a genuine person much like yourself!

Ask her for help. Be sure to choose a subject on which she will feel comfortable helping you. Rarely will you mess something up seeking her advice on style. This approach is a real beauty. It's a non-threatening way to break the ice - "Hi, excuse me, I really need a woman's opinion about this shirt. Is it a keeper, or should it be locked away forever"? These kinds of questions are genuine and you're not coming across as a 'pick up'.

Select your venue wisely. Shy guys are better off going to venues other than cafs to meet women. Instead, visit establishments with conversation-worthy surrounds, such as a charity function or art gallery. Your conversation starters are already built-in to the environment. Another positive aspect going in your favor is that you're not just some random guy. You are "a guy at the same event," therefore will ease her defenses and work to your advantage.

What if you run out of things to say? Let's suppose you've been chatting to this woman and suddenly your mind goes blank. Go ahead and reiterate the last noteworthy thing she mentioned using a curious tone in your voice. "So you've been to Europe three times; what was it like??"

Bring your best wingman. Some of your friends will be able to help you meet women, and some will do the opposite. Although your wingman might be a great buddy, if he's single, he's competition. Your married friends are not going to challenge you for the girl, so choose your wingman wisely.
