Classified ads are old school but they still work. They're not my favorite though because on the internet they do expire requiring you to post again once they're gone. Some forums have classified sections that do not expire.
Make the most of your message by combining other techniques such as optimizing the title of your ad for search engines. Use keywords you think users may search for to increase the likeliness of them finding you through search engines.
Article Marketing
Writing articles is by far my favorite free advertising technique available. It establishes you as an expert in your field and you can drive massive traffic to your website resulting in signups to your mailing list, sales and other actions you want your customers to take.
Use article marketing with the other previously mentioned tactics and you'll have double the advertising power.
This technique is so powerful that it is one of the most used technique internet marketers are using to make full time incomes online.
