How To Alleviate Deep Skin Dryness During The Summer Season
Our skin experiences a lot of problems during the summer season
. Aside from the harmful effects of the sun, other external elements such as pollution and toxins can make skin dry and dull. Moreover, we easily lose inherent fluid in the body because of the hot weather.
It is not uncommon to experience deep skin dryness during summer. That being said, you have to prepare yourself for this problem. Keep your skin moist and properly hydrated all year long. Here are a few tips on how to alleviate skin dryness:
1. Drink lots of water. An average person needs about 8 glasses of water daily. Since you sweat a lot during hot seasons, you should increase your intake of water. Also try drinking more freshly-squeezed fruit juices as they are also loaded with fluids, fibers, vitamins and minerals.
Today, many people are switching to alkaline water. This has undergone purification methods. One of its unique characteristics is its smaller mineral structure. The minerals in it can penetrate cells better for more effective hydration.
2. You should exfoliate your skin twice a week. You don't know what impurities have taken up residence in your pores. Aside from that, your body also purges out dead skin cells. They settle in the pores. Since the pores are blocked, moisturizers cannot penetrate easily.
A good exfoliating concoction can unclog your pores. You can try using ground almonds. Add a bit of honey or yogurt to the mixture. Apply it on your damp skin.
3. After taking a bath, pat your skin dry and immediately apply your hydrating moisturizer. A good product contains beneficial ingredients such as CynergyTK, Phytessence Wakame and Manuka Honey.
CynergyTK is an ingredient that infuses functional keratin to the dermis. Keratin is a special kind of protein that is responsible for the production of collagen and elastin. This can keep your integumentary system strong and reliable.
Phytessence Wakame alleviates the core cause of dermis dryness. This sea kelp can get rid of the harmful enzymes that attack hyaluronic acid. This is the acid that supplies moisture to collagen proteins.
Manuka honey has potent moisturizing benefits. It has humectant properties that can lock moisture in skin layers. It also has anti-pigmentation benefits. If you have blemishes, this ingredient can gradually remove them.
4. Get lots of sleep. I am sure you have noticed in the past that lack of sleep can make skin dry and flaky. That is because the brain cannot properly produce growth hormones. These growth hormones help in the regeneration of collagen. Some hormones like serotonin also help in the lubrication of cells and tissues.
Warding off deep skin dryness is an easy task with the help of the above-mentioned tips. I highly suggest including them in your daily skin care regimen.
