1. Get out of your mind any thoughts that she will reject you right away.

Only occasionally have I ever actually seen a woman just reject a guy from the get go, and usually it had to do with the fact that he was obviously just trying to hook up with her. You don't have to worry about her reacting really coldly, because most women will not. And even if she does, you can just chalk it up as you came across a woman that might have looked good, but would probably not be a whole lot of fun.

2. Use a natural opener and not a canned approach.

A lot of guys just don't feel right when they try to use a canned line to start a conversation with a woman, and when you don't feel right about doing that, the entire approach is going to end up not feeling right. Using a natural way to open a conversation can take away that feeling and instantly make you a little more confident. Plus, you are probably going to end up getting a much better reaction from her, so it is a win--win situation for you.

3. There is power in numbers.

Simple and plain, the more often that you approach women, the more comfortable you are eventually going to become. People that give speeches for a living usually look real comfortable in front of a crowd, but for most of them, it took quite a few before they got comfortable.
