How To Avoid Accidents In Your Home

Accidents often happen in our everyday lives more than we know it.


Sometimes we dont have any control when it happens. But there are ways we can prevent it from happening. I have outlined below some tips on how to avoid accidents in your house for the safety of your children and other member of your family.

Kitchen

Always put all sharp objects on a place where children wont reach it, same thing also with cooking materials that might be harmful for them whenever they inhale or taste it such as baking powder or condiments. Always check your stoves and gas tanks if its properly sealed and tight this is to avoid gas leak that may poison or bring about fire in your home. Also check for the expiration of any food or beverages in your refrigerator this would cause food poison if your child get a hold of any one of them


Living room

Check for any carpet damages or holes that kids might tripped on. Cut those areas or better yet replace it. Check your appliances for any signs of damages such as their electrical cords if there are signs of tear that might cause electrocution among the members of your family. Also check electrical outlets for signs of burns, an outlet that has burns on it might have a short circuit inside that can cause major damages both in your appliances and your home.

Bathroom/Toilets

This area of the house is the accident prone area and the accidents that always occur in this place is slipping. Slipping may due to the following things:

Soaps soaps, or bubbles from shampoos and conditioners are often the culprits of this accidents. Due to their slippery components we sometimes didnt notice that we step on it that causes us to slide or fall down the floor that can cause a head concussion, broken hands or hips or back pain.

Water Leaks water leaks contributes a lot on accidents that happens on your toilets or bathrooms. Due to the water dripping from the toilet bowl or faucets or water pipes, water started to spread on the floors making it more slippery and accident prone. It is recommended that you hire experts on detecting water leaks in order to prevent such accidents to occur.

Prevention is always better than cure, a saying that applies in any aspects of our lives. Take time to check out the area or corners of your house, that way you prevent untoward incidents from happening.
