How To Brand Your Videos Using Camtasia Studio

If you havent already got Camtasia Studio, you can do a search for it on Google

. Pick the first link you find on the results page techsmith.com. Camtasia allows you to create flash videos which mean that you can put these videos on your website.

Once on Camtasia, you can see which kinds of files you can work with on Camtasia by clicking on import files. To brand your video using Camtasia Studio, import the video and picture files (intro/ending screens and video) by clicking on import files. If you wanted to import an audio file, you can also do that too. This makes it unique, which is the whole purpose of branding your own videos. Camtasia also allows you to edit the volume by decreasing/increasing it, depending on the audio that you imported. You can also add transitions such as checkerboard which is a handy feature to design your video. You will then need to save the project. Once youve done that, you can then export it by clicking on produce video as choose either recommended or custom, which allows you to save it in different formats (flash, windows media file, QuickTime file, iPod or MP3 and more besides).

For the purpose of this article, we will save it as a flash file. Choose to save as flash, click next. Here you can choose the flash options, change the audio, add an about box and you can also put a redirect link. To do this, under end action highlight jump to URL and enter the URL where you want your viewers to go when the video has ended such as an affiliate link/opt-in page etc. Click apply then ok. These are features that you can use to brand your video for affiliate marketing purposes.

Click on next. Here is where you can add a watermark, just by placing a tick in the include watermark box. Click next. Youll then need to save it to a certain location, then save and click on finish. Camtasia Studio then renders the project and it will then show you what you just produced and will allow you to view it by pressing play. To add a link to this specific video for branding purposes, in Camtasia Studio, open the production folder and here you will find the folder that you just created. To ensure that the file/folder is ready for upload to the internet, make sure that it is saved as index.html. Right click on the index.html file and select to open with NVU. Go to the source view first, scroll down and you will see where the video is placed. Before the body ends, you will need to insert something like text, then switch to normal view and you will see the word text. The reason for doing this is to show you how you can add any text to go underneath your flash video, and this way you can see if youre placing it correctly or not. You can then highlight this text with your mouse, click on link, enter your link in the space and click ok. Once thats done, click on save and exit out of that. Then youll need to run that index.html file and to do this, right click on index.html, open with Firefox/internet explorer and then youll be able to see the video with the text underneath it. Thats just one way of using Camtasia. Another way is to create an AVI file.
