The definitive knowledge that the suspected spouse is actually cheating is a starting point for open dialogue. If the spouse is not cheating then the issue has been resolved without conflict. If the spouse is cheating, then an open and frank dialogue can be created and the issues in the relationship can be brought to light and resolved.
