How To Choose The Conventional Grinding Mill

, we usually refer to the grinding mill which needs to add the metal medium, such as ball or stick as the conventional grinding mill, such as ball mill and rod mill. To obtain a higher grinding efficiency and to improve the beneficiation economic effect, it is necessary to choose the ore material based on the beneficiation process. In accordance with the characteristics of the grinding mill, choose the most suitable grinding mill. The main characteristics and application scope of ball mill and rod mill which are widely used in dressing plant are as follows.

1. The lattice-type ball mill. Due to the presence of the unique grid plate and the improved bucket in fan shaped indoor, achieving the low level forced ore discharging, so the ore grain which has been finely ground will not stay too long in the ball mill, can be discharged timely. Therefore, the over crushed phenomenon is light, the grinding speed is high, and the working efficiency is high.

(2) The overflow-type ball mill. The overflow type ball mill is composed of feeding part, discharging part, turning part and driving part (reducer, small driving gear, electric motor and electric control). The quill shaft adopts cast steel part and the liner is detachable. The turning gearwheel adopts casting hobbing process and the drum is equipped with wear-resistant liner, which has good wear-resistance. The machine is with stable and reliable working condition. Moreover, according to different materials and discharging methods, there are dry ball mills and wet ball mills for choice.

(3) The rod mill. The medium of rod mill is the steel rod, so the steel rod falls down and contacts with the mineral aggregate surface in line, selective crushed ore (refers to the ore which is crushed in turn according to the size from large to small pieces), so the over crushed phenomenon is light, the mineral properties are uniform in particle size. Therefore, the rod mill is very suitable for coarse grinding or grinding the mineral material with fewer over crushed phenomenon in the re-election plants.
