How To Choose The Perfect Casing And Power Supply In Building Computer
Choosing a case of your computer is also important in building your computer
. Keep in mind that your entire computer parts are kept inside the casing therefore the overall looks of your computer depends on the design of your casing. Some people dont care much about the looks but others wanted it to be more colorful and have flashing lights on it. My personal preference for this is that I wanted it to make simple that satisfies all my requirements. In fact having more flashing lights and decors are nonsense and it only draws more useless power in your supply.
Some casing includes the power supply and it was already installed in the casing but not all. The main advantage of this is that it is cheaper than buying a separate power supply. Not all good looking casing are having a good quality of power supply. Always remember that your power supply is the one that gives power on the entire computer. Therefore you need to consider a good quality of power supply and adequate for supplying the entire system. This means that choose a power supply with the correct wattage. Typical supply wattage available is 500W but if youre using more drives, memories and higher graphics cards youll be needed a greater wattage because it consumes more power.
You may also consider power supply connectors. Connectors that can support 20 24 pin including the number of available Molex connectors and for the SATA connectors that supplies the drives.
Another thing to consider is the cooling system. As your computer running in long hours of use it draws more heat. Heat is your greatest enemy that slows down your computer performance and the worst thing may happen is that it destroys your computer parts. You need to choose a casing that has at least one cooling fan and two is much better. You need to consider also having a separate cooling fan for your hard drive to avoid crashing of all your data due to overheating.
The best thing to consider here in choosing a perfect casing to build your computer is the ease of assembling and disassembling the parts of your computer. Specially the motherboard, drives and add-in cards.
