3. Choose the restore point that you want to go back to.
Note: Any restore points that you created manually, scheduled restore points that Windows 7 created, and those created automatically during the installation of certain programs will be listed here.
1. Click Next.
2. Click Finish to begin the System Restore.
Note: Windows 7 will shut down to complete the System Restore, so be sure you have saved all your work before continuing.
Tip: System Restore will not revert any of your non-system files like documents, email, music, etc. to a previous state. These types files are completely unaffected by System Restore. If your want to recover a deleted non-system file, try using file restore if you made file backup.
1. Click Yes to dialogue box to confirm uninterrupted system restore again.
2. System Restore will now restore Windows 7 to the state that was recorded in the restore point you chose in Step 3.
3. After logging in to Windows 7 after the reboot, you would get the prompt that System Restore completed successfully.
4. Check to see if the system problem has been corrected by this System Restore. If the problem still persists, you can repeat the steps above and choose another restore point if possible.
System image can also be used for System Restore. To create a system image, Control Panel -> System and Security (view in category) -> Backup and Restore -> Create a system image in left panel. The image can be created on another hard disk, a DVD as well as a network. That is to say, the system image DVD is also a tool to restore system and bypass windows 7 password.
