How To Create Traffic for Real Estate Blogs

Traffic for Real Estate Blogs
I just sent this email out to someone who asked me about how to get
more traffic to his website. I realized it's something that everyone
wants to know more about so here it is in all its glory:
"Ok traffictraffic is the #1 issue that we all have online and there's no easy answer.
It takes some effort in the beginning and then it tends to snowball once it gets going.
Here's what we've done and seen great results with:
Email marketing: This is a great way to build traffic with your loyal clients/readership.
Make sure to consistently mail out quality information and encourage people to 1) forward to their friends and 2) link back to your website.
Consistency is important. We notice a higher open rate on our emails when we mail to them on a regular basis. It can be 1x a week but make sure you're doing it at the same day and sending out great content.
Facebook: Facebook is a great way to promote your site as well. On your personal profile use the Notes feature to just copy and paste your posts from your website and make sure to ask for comments, ask a question and link back to your site.
Facebook ads are also a great way to find targeted traffic to your website. Make sure to select the right kind of people to reach and have your ad offer them something that they would definitely want to learn about. (Make sure you have a prominent, enticing opt in box
on your website to capture those new leads!)
Keep working with the ads to get the cost per click (CPC) down to a managable level. Here's a great article about how to do that http://www.allfacebook.com/band-facebook-fans-2010-09
Articles/Social Media Sites: So this is one that will pay off really well in the long run but takes some effort up front. We've been submitting articles to tons of different sites; (Articles can just be your blog posts don't be intimidated by coming up with too much content) having all these articles out there has created a bunch of links back to us. We've submitted
them to Digg.com, ActiveRain.com, eArticles.com and tons more. This is a great way to
get more traffic.
Other blogs in your community: Do a little bit of research and see if there are any other blogs in your neighborhood. They don't have to be real estate related at all. Join in the conversation in the comments of other blogs and build relationships that way. They're all looking for traffic
too, so you can work to cross promote on different sites.
Google AdWords: Google ads tend to be really expensive and I would only recommend it if you had a solid way to capture new leads already set up. Where you could get $0.40 a click on FB, generally you're looking at $4-7 for a click on Google."
That's what I sent him what do you think? Have you had success with other
traffic sources for your blogs/websites?
