How To Design Your Own Apron

Aprons are one of the many functional items that are easy and fun to make and wear

. Keeping the neatness while cooking should never be boring. In fact, you can make aprons for different occasions and for the different people preparing the food. Ready-made aprons are already available in the market and they have different colors. Decorating these aprons is not that hard to do and you can make seven aprons for the seven days of the week or for a party or for a formal gathering.

To start making your very own apron, you need to buy ready-made aprons. These aprons can be found in any craft or fabric stores. You have a wide range of choices when it comes to color. There are also ready-made aprons with colors that can match certain occasion like Christmas. Also buy glue or iron-on dcor for your apron and self-stick letters.

When you already have ready-made apron on hand, you need to get it ready before putting its designs. Wash the apron first and then prepare the materials you will be using in decorating it.

It is recommended that you layout your design to be sure that all you spent for the apron and the designs would not go to waste. If you really love cooking, you can dress up your pre-made apron with embroidered vegetable or utensil designs. If you are planning to make an apron for a special occasion, you can have a beautiful-jeweled colored apron or a black apron enhanced with rhinestones.

Pockets and loops for aprons are also available in the stores. You can buy some of them and sew them in your pre-made apron. Loops will be very useful especially when using the apron while coking some barbeque.

Now that you are ready, you can iron, stick or glue the designs you have bought on your pre-made apron. Follow the designed you made. In attaching the decorations on the apron, read first the instructions written on its package so they will stick properly on the fabric.

Once you are done with designing your apron, you can already wear it and start cooking. You can also buy and dress up more aprons so that you have extras when the other aprons are already soiled.
