If you wish to drive it like a car, you will require going for a faster one as most of the golf carts are designed for slow speed. Depending upon where you are driving the cart, whether only in the course or also for your personal needs, the speed of the cart can be decided. Since slow speeds are only required to drive through the terrains of the golf cart, ordinary carts with low speed are used. When you are driving on the cart for the first time, it may seem to you like you are going to slide down from it. If that happens, you can change the seats of your cart. You can also change the seating arrangement. Since most of the carts do not come with seat belts, adding them to your cart is recommended for your safety. Thus, you should first make yourself comfortable and safe when driving on the cart.

Before purchasing a cart, you can first test drive the cart on the course where you intend to play. Turn the position "on" and then pedal forward y stepping on the "go" pedal. You can use the direction lever to choose the direction for driving. Once you develop the skill of driving the cart with continuous practice, you can drive it easily over the harsh terrains of the course. You can also use it to drive around your neighborhood or for a short trip to the store. Always follow all the safety rules and add all the safety features in your cart.
