How To Earn Extra Income

If you have found that the income you take home from your every day job isn't enough

to sustain your outgoings, you might want to think about earning some extra income on the side in order to keep your bank balance looking healthy. If you truly aren't able to decrease your outgoings, taking up some part time work or using one of the many other imaginative ways of earning some cash could help you to keep on top of your finances each month, and it probably wouldn't take up that much of your time.

There are a lot of different things that you could do to earn extra income, but here are a few options:

1) Take up a part time job

If you have time, you could always apply for a part time job that you could go to on the weekends, your other days off or after you finish at your day job. This could help you to bring in a bit more money every month and you wouldn't need to work that much to earn enough to top up your income. Depending on how much you earn from your part time work, you might also be exempt from Income Tax and National Insurance contributions. If you earn less than 8,105 in a year you won't have to pay Income Tax, and those that earn less than 146 a week will also be exempt from National Insurance contributions.

2) Consider working from home

You can find a lot of positions that you can work from home with, and these can often allow you to put in more hours to earn more money. This is because you can work at any hour with them, so you arent constrained by the normal working hours that a lot of part time employment comes with. You might even find that working from home becomes your favourite thing to do, and for many people it can become an enjoyable full-time job!

3) Sell unwanted items online

While it may not bring in the millions, selling some of your unwanted possessions on websites like eBay, Gumtree and Amazon could help you to earn at least a bit of extra money. It would also help you to get rid of items that have been taking up space in your home for some time now, so you wont simply have to put them out with the rubbish and miss a good selling opportunity.
