From the affordable to the luxurious segment of cars, there are such safety features that it'd take a complete douche bag of a driver to end up doing something silly on the road. Cars today can take you out of many dangerous situations provided you are alert and involved with your driving. They have airbags to save you in case of a crash, have efficient braking system and beep the hell out you till you put on your seatbelts.

Taillights for example; some cars come with a feature called Ford Taillights. If you brake extra hard, the brake lights flash rapidly. Its effectiveness has been proved in indicating following drivers into braking. So not only the S-class will prevent itself from hitting the car in front, it'll ensure it doesn't get hit from the back either. The armored version of the Cadillac which the U.S President uses has a similar bit of electronic trickery with its taillights.

Safety talk apart, comfort is another priority for buyers. How the car's suspension has been set up, tells if the ride is going to be like gliding on butter or if the fat, hairless corporate honcho comes out of the car with a slip disk. suspension springs are of various types: single beam, multiple beam, Mc Person struts etc. Each type functions in its own unique way to smooth out road irregularities.

Some other cars come fitted with Cadillac Taillights. The lamps rotate in the direction you turn thus illuminating the dark bend of the road. This certainly is a feature which would appeal to a prospective buyer who's wary of potholed roads. Especially near the American countryside.

Quality, precision, comfort, features, fuel economy etc are the catchwords manufacturers use to tempt the buyer. The consumer today has proved herself to be the street smart know-it-all. She knows how to choose the best. The automobile industry strives to make transportation safe, pleasurable, economical and fast. The consumer will never stop asking for more and will keep the industry on its toes. After all they cannot afford to ignore the largest market for automobiles in the world.
