Maybe that's true, but isn't there a reason you watch so much?

Believe it or not, the television is actually one of the most popular places to begin looking for a big costume idea. Whether you are looking for a Mardi Gras season, for Halloween, or just a random costume party, the television is always the most up to date place to get inside of a character's head, to find the latest cartoon, or just be inspired by the characters you see. For example, most television shows seem to have Halloween specials that will tell the best ideas you just haven't been thinking of in the moment.

Now, we must reiterate that one could easily just go for a walk on a nice day, or sit quietly with a pad of paper and slowly think up the best costume idea ever. It's just that one can also take that time to really relax, to maybe just spend an hour or so doing what maybe they do not always have time to do, so busy. It could not be an easier task to lean back in your big chair or a love seat with that pad of paper and just jot down one costume idea after another based on what you see. As well, there is no need to stay stationary, one can flip through as many channels as they please, working to get to the right cartoon outfit or right character ensemble. If one even just writes down random outfits they like, or good colors to mix in, they can often take these abstract thoughts and arrange them into one grand costume idea. Maybe it will even become the next big trend. If you are in the middle of a television show, however, one should also consider just keeping an eye on the passing commercials. You can't go wrong trying to dress up as the newest product on the market, it can be seen as both topical and funny, because of the way most everyone will recognize it.

In fact, sometimes you can even do a little product placement for your own business if you can think of a creative enough way to do it. It just takes a little dedication and a little ingenuity.

There you have it, the next time the need for a really good costume idea comes around, you need to take advantage of it, and you need to take advantage of it in the easiest way possible. That means do not slack off listening to the radio, and do not pass time just sitting at a table idly thinking.
