How To Find Out If A Thailand Dental Clinic Is A Fake
More and more people are traveling to Thailand to get dental and medical work done
. They do this for a variety of reasons with one of the main reasons being the large amount of money they can save. People are saving thousands upon thousands by doing this.
I did it three years ago and saved $2,500. Not only did I have excellent work done, but I was also able to learn how to kite surf on the beaches of Phuket while getting vacation pay at the same time. Life was good.
However, before I made the jump into traveling from across the world to Thailand, I wanted to make sure the work would be done at American standards.
This is the process I used to verify this:
1- Blog Searching
I started looking at blogs and posted a few questions about my concerns regarding Thailand's dental work. I was very impressed to see how much information people provided. Some even recommended the specific places they go to get their work done.
I was like "sweet", they already did half the research for me.
2- Look at the Website
What I did was take a list of the top 5 dental clinics which were recommended to me. Then I looked at the company's website to get a feel for how professional their website is. This is not a full proof plan, but having been a part time web designer, I learned that if the website is crap so is the company.
3- Look for Reviews
For me, only one of the five had a crappy website, which narrowed my choices down to four. Then I simply google the name of the clinic and added the word "review".
This gave me some third party reviews. A good rule of thumb is to expect half the reviews to be fake ones from the business.
4- References
I now had it narrowed down to 3 dental clinics. From here I simply emailed the companies asking for real references that I could contact. Two of the three produced these.
Then I simply gathered all the information and made the best choice. Ultimately I decided on Phuket so I could learn how to kite surf.
