How To Find Outdoor Kitchen Designs

Only a decade ago it was a big deal just to have an oversized gas grille and maybe

some decent outdoor furniture on your patio if you wanted to do any type of entertaining. Dad would cook on the grill and people would grab paper plates and try to eat without spilling anything all over themselves. Today, however, the new outdoor kitchen designs make these backyard get togethers look like something from yesterday.

These designs not only include huge gas grills with extra burners. An entire floor plan is laid out similar to what you already have inside. Weather proof refrigerators, freezers, counter tops, wine coolers, and even appropriate lighting is added to these designs. Walkways made of bricks, tiles, and stones are popular, and most are very affordable.

Of course, not everyone likes gas grills, and some housing developments don't even allow them. In that case, you're in luck! Choose from an entire selection of real ovens and cooking tops that are made specifically for outdoor use and can be exposed to rain, snow, etc. With some simple precautions.

As you plan your new outdoor area, keep in mind that you'll most likely need to dig up at least a small portion of your lawn in order to run electric, gas and/or water pipes and lines. This is where you'll need plenty of professional help. As you select appliances and flooring, make sure you know what your installation options are.

Along with designing the cooking and serving areas, you should also consider the various sitting and dining areas. This is no different than your inside kitchen. If you have a modern home, you kitchen probably overlooks a family room area, and outdoors is no different. Once you have your appliances chosen, think about a dining table, and areas for others to relax in. There is plenty of weather proof and durable furniture on the market that will add the right ambience to any decor.

Don't forget a wet bar! This area could be as simple as a counter top with chairs that fit underneath, or as elaborate as a standalone bar with its own ice maker, sink, wine cooler, and marble counter. Although the sink should have its own running water, you probably won't need to add running hot water.

Don't forget one of those new electric fire pits! These are the perfect accoutrements for night time parties, and the perfect way to add warmth in the cooler months. They are also available in gas or even charcoal models.

Add a beautiful outdoor area rug and finish it off with a large outdoor plasma TV.
