You're afraid it actually doesn't exist after all. So how do you make that perfect project intact without the right pieces of sports video clips you need?

Find a better stock footage site. So maybe this isn't exactly what you wanted to hear, but it still needs to be said. The Internet is chock full of sport stock footage sites. Although the big-name video sites will have a good selection of sports clips, you may need to find a site with a dedicated sports page or better search capabilities. Add creative touches to the video you do have. If you still are not able to find the perfect clip, but have a few seconds of dead time in your video try slowing clips down, or repeating a section several times in a row (like a slam dunk or touchdown tackle). Getting creative with your existing video allows you to get by with less video. Use those times to get creative and re-capture the viewer. If you feel like it is slow, so will your audience.

In fact, the company may already have such a clip and you just weren't able to find it. Get to know your sports stock footage company, and talk to a representative. If you don't ask, you will never know.

Search smart. Learn how to use Google's custom search to find sports stock and video archive footage that may not be appearing in your typical search efforts. You should be able narrow your search down to a certain number of sites, by certain types of results, and by certain keywords.
