How to get high rankings on Google is a topic that just about every Webmaster would love to have the secret to. There is no secret really. If you own your own Web site or are the Webmaster for a company's Web site, do the following and your Web site will eventually rank highly on Google.

First and foremost, follow the Google Guidelines to the letter. Read them and study them, print them out and keep them handy as a refresher. It is imperative that you give Google *exactly* what they want in a Google friendly Web site. Next, get as many *quality* links pointing to your Web pages as possible. One way to do this is to get your Web page listed in the top paid and free Web directories. Discreetly rent some one way links also that are 100% relevant to what your Web page is about and use your main keyword & key phrases in the anchor text. Write articles that are 100% relevant to your product or service and then submit those articles to Article Directories with a link back to your Web site pages. Next, make sure that *all* of your site pages are fully optimized, each for the keyword that that page is about. Make sure that your pages are validated and have no coding errors or spelling errors. Next, run your pages through a cross browser checker to ensure that all of your pages render the same in Internet Explorer as they do in Firefox and Safari, etc.

Make sure you have a Site Map to your site (see above regarding the Google Guidelines. Start a blog and keep it updated daily with new posts. Submit your blog to Blog Directories. Try to make a post to your blog every day as this counts as new content for your Web site and keeps the search engine spiders coming back to crawl your site on a regular basis.

Do the above and in time your Web page should get page 1 rankings on Google. But be PATIENT, Rome wasn't built in a day and if you want page 1 rankings on Google and your domain is new, then it could take 6-12 months of hard work to get those high rankings. To get high rankings on Google you just have to keep your nose to the proverbial grindstone. But in the end the results are worth all the BS&T (blood, sweat and tears).
