How To Guide: Filling Out Checks
EzCheckPersonal software is an easy to use cheque writer for family users
. It can fill out the data only on pre-printed blank checks. It also allows users to print personalized checks on blank check paper with logo and signature.
Here is the step by step guide on how to fill out a cheque on pre-printed blank check paper.
Step 1: Start ezCheckPersonal
If you have not installed ezCheckPersonal, you can download it for free at halfpricesoft.com
Step 2: Setup your bank account to use pre-printed blank cheques
Click the top menu "Settings->Edit Current Account" to open the check setup page. You need to uncheck the option Use blank Check Stock to use the pre-printed checks and save your change. Then ezCheckPersonal will not print your bank information on checks.
Step 3: Add a new cheque.
Go back to the main page. Click the new button to add a check. Select this check from the check list and click the Print button to print your check.
Step 4: Print Check
Select the check(s) from check list and click the PRINT button (see image in step 3). Select your target printer and you will see the pre-preview screen. Since you have already chosen to use the pre-printed check, EzCheckPersonal will print the data only on cheque.
If you are satisfied with your cheques, click the PRINTER icon to print the cheques.
ezCheckPersonal check can print personalized checks on blank stock too. There are several advantages to printing on blank cheque stock over using pre-printed checks:
1) Security
Printing cheques only when you need them. Having pre-printed checks lying around, gives opportunity for someone to steal your cheque. Plus, password-protected
computerized data is safe from prying eyes rather than ledger books. Its also easy
to create backups of the data should something happen to your computer or premises.
2) Convenience
Running out of checks is a pain. But when you use software to print on blank check
stock, you never run out of cheques and have to wait for new checks to arrive. A

You can import your cheque data and print hundreds of checks with just a few clicks.
Using blank cheque stock is much less expensive than having cheque pre-printed. Plus,
if you ever have to change banks or change your address or other information on
your personal cheques, you dont have to have new checks printedyou just change the
information in your cheque printing software and it prints the new information
on the cheques.
