Dont sacrifice your self-respect to maintain a relationship. If he is verbally, physically or mentally abusive, discontinue the relationship. A mature man doesnt need to abuse a woman to prove he is a man. When you allow his abuse to continue, you sacrifice your self-respect for the relationship. Good relationships arent made of sacrifices; they are built on compromises.

Dont keep on to bad relationships for the sake of having a relationship. Dont nurture a relationship that is riddled with pain and disappointment. Pull yourself up by your bootstraps and get it together. Good relationships take a little effort; bad relationships require a lot of work.
