1) Side Bends:

Side bends isolate the muscles that wrap around your waist. To do this exercise you will to either stand up straight or sit up in a chair so that your torso is straight. Do not lock your knees. Allow a slight bend and a shoulder's distance between your feet.

Hold light dumbbells in both hands and reach down to touch your knees with the weighted hands. You should feel the strain in your abdominal muscles. Try doing at least thirty reps per day to begin reducing your waistline.

2) Side Crunches:

This is the perfect exercise to tighten the belly muscles that tend to become flabby as we age. This exercise, when done correctly, will lead to dramatic weight loss in just a few days. Practice makes perfect with side crunches. They are not a simple exercise. Be sure to pay close attention to your form while performing them.

The exercise has two positions. Begin on either the right side or the left and then switch for balance. Lie down on the ground, along one side (probably your right). Place your opposite hand on the opposite side of your tummy. Extend your other arm over your ear and reach towards the ceiling.

You need to place some pressure on your right side while attempting to raise your right leg and right arm towards each other. Get them as close as possible. This position will tone your abdominal muscles and literally melt the pounds from around your midsection. Switch sides half way through. Do at least twenty reps on each side.

These two exercises are the best ways to begin reducing the deadly belly fat that's plaguing your waistline. Try them out for a week and see the amazing results for yourself.
