Add fat burning foods to the diet. Foods like baked chicken, fish, fresh fruits and dairy products are excellent fat burning foods. This means that eating these foods will increase metabolism and burn calories fast.
Cut back on the carbohydrates but do not completely avoid them. When you want to drop a few pounds, two servings of carbs per day will get your weight loss started. When having breakfast include one half serving of carbohydrates, one half serving of protein, a serving of fruit and one serving of dairy.
