How To Make A Usb Psp Charger

The materials required to make a USB PSP charger are the PSP car charger (its charging

end is required), any USB cable, insulation tape or electrical tape and wire stripper. The solder wire and solder gun which are optional.

The procedure for making USB PSP charger is as follows. Firstly, from the PSP car charger, you need to cut the charging pin or take any kind of pin that can fit in the charging port of PSP. Now, from the USB cable, cut one of its ends and just leave the other end in order to plug it into your PC. Then strip off the outer covering of both of the wires. There is a central wire or the inner wire (power) and a wire which is surrounded by the central wore or the outer wire (earth) in a piece of wire which you have taken from the PSP charger. Try to twist both the inner as well as the outer wires. While doing this, ensure that they do not touch each other.

You will be able to find 4 wires in the stripped USB cable. The red colored wire is of +5 volts and the rest of the wires are ground and data wires. Now, you need to strip all the 4 wires. Then twist the 3 wires which include the data and ground wires and not the red wire. Then after, the red wire is also twisted together.

Now, you need to join and twist the red wire with the inner or central wire. Also, join and twist the remaining 3 wires with the outer wire of the charger. Now, finally solder these wires and cover up with the insulating or electrical tape. Thus, your USB PSP charger is now ready. You will be able to find 4 wires in the stripped USB cable.
