I thought this was a great way to build a large list quickly. My main problem was I didn't have anything to sell.

2. Not direct mail. This is similar to off-line marketing when you would mail a direct mail piece to a targeted area.
The difference with email marketing is you control the list once you build it. You can mail every day if you want and your cost doesn't increase.
You do have the cost of an autoresponder which runs around $20 a month. Other than that you're only cost is the amount of time it takes to put together an email message and send it out.
3. Co-registration leads. These are leads you pay a lead company to get for you. This was a strategy I successfully used in the early days of my Internet marketing career.
Today this strategy still works and it can be cost effective. Buy a certain number of leads for a pre-determined price and forget about it.

4. Email messages. One thing you will want to do is set your autoresponder up with messages you have written in advance.
You can write these yourself or hirer an Internet writer to do it. Keep these messages simple and useful.
You can include links to your affiliate product you want to sell. You should also set up a P.S. at the bottom of each email that includes a link to your own website or affiliate program you're promoting.
5. Think big. I know of Internet marketers who have lists of several thousand people on them. Some even have several hundred thousand or over a million subscribers.
Think big and build your list as larage as you can. Also open up your mind to creating multiple lists in various niches.
You will never run out of affiliate products to sell. Once you learn how to make money with affiliate programs using email marketing you will want to build as many lists as you can.
