There are many homemakers and house cleaners out there but not too many car cleaners. Of course an individual can take their car to a car wash and do the inside cleaning while they are there. The problem is that it's not cheap and is very time consuming. This is where your business could come in.
You could keep it as small or as large as you want. If you want to specialize on interiors you could do that or you could do the outside or a package deal. Again what you do is going to depend on your pricing.
One thing you want to be sure of is that you don't price yourself out of the market where people figure that it's not worth it and it's easier to do themselves. Make it lucrative enough so that it's worth paying to have you do it.
One of the things that you need to keep in mind is what it's going to cost you for your cleaning supplies. Again you could make it optional for the customer. Set up a price scenario where if they supply the cleaning products then it's cheaper.
You also need to ensure that you are available at the most likely time the vehicles are going to be available. This means evenings and weekends. Another option is going to work sites or office buildings and cleaning their car while they work.
You need to determine how much you would like to bring in from your new sideline business and then determine how many vehicles you would have to do in order to be able to meet your goal.
You could even extend this to include appliance cleaning if you wanted to be even more creative. Many individuals don't have the time to clean a lot of their appliances and this would be a great add-on that would be very beneficial and you keep your costs reasonable.
