How To Make Money With Google Adwords: 3 Tips
It is not always easy to make money with Google AdWords
. What can make it difficult is the competition amongst advertisers. Nowadays not only the most popular keywords in a niche attract a big number of advertisers on the AdWords service, but also the long tail keywords, which are the key phrases composed by a higher number of words and that have a lower number of monthly searches.
Here are three tips that you can use to improve your results.
The first tip in case you have this problem is to leave the search network and move to the content network. This way your AdWords ads will no longer run on the results page of the Google search engine site, and will instead appear on the sites that participate in the Google AdSense service.
In your AdWords account the system will show you which sites are available, and if you want you can select which sites will display your ads for your selected keywords, and which you don't want to use for your pay per click advertising. It can take some time and some work to study those sites, but it can benefit your AdWords campaigns.
Here is the second tip. If you see that you still pay too much for your keywords because of the competition you can try to switch to the pay per impression mode. This is available on the content network and can be activated on the bidding options. You will have to select the "focus on impressions - use maximum CPM bids", and enter how much you want to pay for 1000 impressions of your ad on the selected sites of the content network. You will no longer pay for each click this way. Of course you can enter a different maximum CPM for each site. You can find some good deals this way, and it is important to do a lot of testing, but this is important in any AdWords advertising.
The third and final tip if you want to try to get better results is to use image ads. The image will have the same dimensions of the AdSense units that the AdSense publishers can use and will display in their web sites. This option can give you some more power of the regular text ads and here is why. Your image will take all the space that normally includes more text ads, so your image ad will be bigger and will have less competition than a regular text ad.
In addition to that your image ad can of course include graphics and text of different sizes and colors. This can definitely benefit your advertising through the AdWords service.
