Twitter is one of the biggest social networking websites and growing every day, currently with just over 40 million people around the world. People use Twitter for a lot of reasons, from friends being able to keep in track each other's actives, to well known celebrates gathering more followers but of course our use will be different, so let's learn how to make money with Twitter. With 40 million user's worldwide and a system that is very easy to build more follower's, many have seen this as an quality business opportunity. For many website owners of today, Twitter is seen as a honey pie of opportunity in a variety of ways, from promoting/generating interest to their blogs/websites to placing affiliate adverts on their profile and earn money directly So, how can Twitter make money for you. Well there are a number of ways, the most common is using a programme called ad.ly. This basically links you as a publisher with willingly paying businesses for your "tweets". The price can range for anything between $0.50/0.25 to $4.00/2.00 per tweet if you have around 1000 followers. Some of the big twitter users have over 100,000 followers and can earn up to $40 per tweet. A couple of those every day and things are looking on the up side... Naturally the hard part is being able to generate a large amount of followers but don't worry, I can help you out there too! There are several ways of gaining followers: Firstly, you could spend your own time following people with the aim to be followed back. This is fairly common and after time can create a good follower base. Secondly, you could spam your twitter profile address everywhere and anywhere and hope that someone will be kind enough to follow. Thirdly, you could use a quality programme that does it all for you, from un-following the people who don't follow you to automatically following people (selected by random) ( I can point you in the right direction with a quality programme later on...) So anyway, a few things you need to bare in mind if you choose to use the following route. I have found on average for each person you follow, there is a 1/3 change they will follow you back. Twitter unfortunately has a tool which stops you being able to follow people once you hit 2000, until you gain 2000 followers. So with that in mind, you will need to un-follow the people who are not following you back. If you have never used Twitter before, that's pretty tricky, if you have used Twitter before - you know that's tricky! After the 2000 limit, Twitter will allow you a 10% margin so you can only follow 10% more people than there are following you, so once again you will need to make sure you drop all the people who are not following you other wise, your not going to generate a large number of followers in a hurry...For that reason I do recommend a quality programme to help with your venture but I will be honest, they vary between $60 - $200 (which you can make up from tweets pretty soon after...) As this is not a sales pitch, I will confirm that it is still possible to create a good follower base with out one of these programmes but I must admit it did make my life easier. If you are looking for the more slow burning route, where you do this all manually, there is still some success to be had so don't give up!
