How To Make Sure Your Tumble Dryer Works For You

, saying that they are wasteful and that they could easily be replaced with hanging your washing out and letting it dry naturally. The trouble is that not all homes in the UK have gardens to hang their washing out on a line such as flats and homes without gardens. To get their clothes dried quickly the best solution is to use a tumble dryer as leaving clothes on radiators can cause condensation and damp to form which could be damaging to your home.

Tumble Dryers do however use a lot of energy, in order to effectively dry your clothes you will need to have a lot of heat and a surprising amount of water too. You will also probably be using a dryer more frequently too as a drying cycle can only effectively handle half of a full washing load as the appliance needs space between the clothes to allow the warm air to pass through hand dry your clothes.

Washer dryers have also had similar troubles as they will normally have a much smaller drum than a tumble dryer so you may be limited on the amount of washing you can get dried. As long as you have the load not too full then you should be able to set your machine to wash and dry your clothes all at once so that you can go about your day knowing your clothes will be ready for ironing or even ready to wear straight from the machine.

The best way to make sure you get the most out of your appliance is to make sure that you know how much is needed for an effective cycle, overloaded dryers can have poor results and will often need to be either run again or drape your clothes somewhere to let them dry naturally.

You should look for tumble dryers that operate at a higher revolutions per minute (RPM) this means your dryer will be able to get up to higher speeds drying your clothes quicker and using less electricity as your appliance shouldnt be on for very long. Most models available now come with settings to set the speed as well as the duration of the drying cycle so if you only have a few items of clothing and they are not likely to retain a lot of water then you could set the appliance to spin slower and for less time to help cut down the energy usage of your tumble dryer
