You need to take the time to figure out why you want to exhibit at the show and what type of audience that you are seeking to attract.

Also, you must make the effort to figure out what the overall cost is going to be versus the potential profit that you stand to gain. This will help you decide if it makes economic sense to even set up your booth. If you do find that it will be profitable, then you will need to determine who your prospects are, which basically means, to who you are looking to sell.

Once you have determined who your target audience may be, you will then want to be sure that there will be enough of this clientele visiting the trade show. When you have confirmed that there are, you will then need to develop a clear and also compelling message that will target them and let them know how you are planning on helping them.


Next, you are going to want to do some pre-show marketing. You should get a complete list of the people that are planning on attending. You can then set up a mailer explaining to these people what you will be able to show them at the trade show and banner stand display. This will give them even more reason to want to learn more.

At the show you are going to want to be sure that your display is full color, full size, and eye catching. It should also contain a clear and concise message of why they should stop by your booth. You should even consider adding lighting for an even more eye-catching appeal.

Finally, consider having giveaways that customers can take when they are checking out your booth. Your giveaways should include your phone number and other type of contact information. You should consider letting your visitors know about this in your mailer. You can also consider having a drawing for a free item dealing with your business.

Making your trade show a success does not have to be difficult. If you take the time to make a clear plan, customers will stop by your booth, buy your product and you will have a successful show.
