. But, do you know, once in a while, you may have to shift your large rose bushes to a different area so that you will get desired size of flowers soon. There are many reasons that collectively decide the growth of a rose plant. Factors such as inadequate sunlight, not so fertile sown spot for a new planting, and climate play their roles in deciding the future of a rose bud. To restrain from above mentioned reasons, you may move your bush to a more suitable location and get roses of desired size within few months.
Here is a step-by-step method for moving your large rose bush:
Scratch at least a drip line of about eight inches around the perimeter of your bush. It is mainly because of the fact that rose bushes should be moved when they are completely dormant or just coming out of dormancy.
With a shovel dig out the scratched area and uncover the root of your plant and cut it off with pruning shears.
Take out the bush from the dug portion and carry it to the desired location. Do not take put all the soil around the roots for a while.
Dig a similar hole in the desired location and add the required compost in a circular pattern. Plant the bush and add the soil as well.
Water the new plant regularly every week and you will notice that within a few days the rose bush will start sprouts buds.
