American Roulette has a layout consisting of 38 numbers in total (0-36 plus 00) and yet for a 1 Straight Up bet on a winning number, your return will still be 36 (35/1). The house edge is 5.26% - almost DOUBLE that of European Roulette!

Also be aware of other forms of roulette that are currently on offer with less numbers on the layout. One I've seen has nine numbers (0-8) and for a 1 Straight Up bet, you will receive only 8 (7/1). When you do the maths, you are nearly FOUR TIMES worse off playing these games as opposed to European Roulette as the house edge comes in at a huge 11.1%!
