How To Play Paintball

All over the world paintball is quickly becoming a popular sport because it offers groups of people a way to enjoy hours of strategic game play

. Folks from all types of backgrounds are enjoying this competitive, yet fun game. Business owners, students, and parents all find it to be a fast-paced form of entertainment. Players need to have the proper gear in order to participate, and getting suited up can be just as exciting as the game itself. A good paintball gun pack is important, and they come in a variety of styles.

Wearing goggles is required for safety, although aiming at the head is forbidden. Other protective gear that is usually worn includes a vest, armbands and wristbands, beanies and ski masks, pants and belts. All are available in many different colors and styles.

People get together and form two teams. The game is usually played in a wooded area, which creates a realistic environment. There are several versions of game play, such as capture the flag. Elimination may be the objective; if it is, then teams hunt down the rival team and shoot the other team's members using paintball guns. In order for the person to be eliminated it has to be a valid hit. The team that manages to stay alive wins the game.

How to Play Paintball

*Boundaries must be established, and each team needs a starting base.

*Dead Zone is also established. This is an area where eliminated players go, and players are not allowed to aim or shoot into the staging area. This is sometimes used for storing extra paintball gear, and it is a safe place for eliminated players to remove protective masks safely.

*Game objective is determined. Rules are established and the type of game is decided. Elimination, capture the flag, and center flag are a few popular games.

*Game play time is set to avoid long boring games. Most players enjoy shorter games because it keeps the action going.

*Teams are divided, and the game is started. Hit and paint checks are also part of game play.

*Victory is achieved when one team completes all the set objectives. Once teams are notified of a victory all players must use barrel plugs or barrel covers on loaded paintball guns before masks are removed.

*Equipment can be selected separately, but a paintball gun pack usually comes with everything included. These packs may include the gun, mask, hopper, air tank and paintballs.

The game of paintball has been around for years, but because it has become a world-wide form of entertainment, its popularity is sure to grow.
