How To Play Pokmon Trading Card Game?

In year 1996 a Pokmon animated series and video game was first introduced in Japan

but with its increasing popularity worldwide Pokmon trading cards were also made available to entertain children.

The theme of Pokmon series is designed around different creatures that fought a battle by using their powers and with the help of trainers. The idea behind introducing trading card cards is players will act as a trainer of Pokmon and fight the battle. There are several variations and types in Pokmon trading card games that need to be studied thoroughly so that you will play it efficiently and effectively.

4.Energy cards

Grass, fire, lightning, darkness, fighting, metal energy and water powers are provided by energy cards to Pokmon so that they can use them in attacks.

5.Attacks

Minimum one attack is given to each Pokmon that they can use during fight. The best use of these Pokmon cards is to identify the level and types of energy required to use an attack.

6.Special Scenarios

Asleep, paralyzed, poison, burned and confused are some of the special conditions that are caused to Pokmon during attacks. But under any dragonball circumstances the defending Pokmon is moved to bench then it will be no longer affected by those special conditions.

Besides energy cards Pokmon trading card deck has other four types as well, trainer, supporter, stadium and prize cards.

-Unlike others, stadium cards can be played on each turn but till they are removed by other card.

-When Pokmon trading cards game starts then 6 prize cards will be set aside on separate mat. As soon as opponent player knocked out winning player will claim his or her prize card.

Opening hand

Players start their trading card game by shuffling a deck of 60-cards. Each player will have 7 cards in his or her hand. The basic Pokmon card you will hold in your hand will become your active Pokmon that you have to use against your opponent. Remainder Pokmon cards pokemon can be used when active Pokmon is knocked out during fight. If you are not left with any Pokmon cards then you need to show your hand. This will again replace and re-shuffle the deck so that you will get at least one Pokmon.

Losing Cards

As soon as cards are shuffled and before starting the game top 6 cards from the deck are taken out and kept aside face down, these are prize cards as mentioned earlier. Whenever player knocked out its opponent one prize card is given to winning player. Typically players order is decided by tossing the coin. If any player losses all its Pokmon cards, active card as well as benched cards including prize card then it is considered an ultimate defeat.
