How To Play The Three Basic Chords Of Guitar

Learning how to play the chords is the final challenge in learning to play the guitar

. This stage is the most fulfilling part of learning the guitar because, at last, the beginner is now ready to play music with his instrument. Playing a chord means simultaneously striking at least two or three strings on the guitar at a time.

But before you can play the different chords, you should first master the three most common chords. These chords are the G major chord, C major chord, and the D major chord. But, it is not that difficult to master these three chords because these chords are the easiest chords in the whole guitar chord chart.

When you are playing the G major chord, you should place your second finger on the sixth string of the third fret; then place your first finger on the fifth string of the second fret; and your third finger must be placed on the first string of the third fret. It is recommended that your fingers to be curled so that it will not touch any other strings that are not supposed to be touched. Then strike all the strings in one continuous strum. They should make the sound at the same time and not one at a time.

In the C major key, you should place your third finger on the fifth string of the third fret. Your second finger must be placed on the fourth string of the second fret. Finally, place your first finger on the first fret of the second string. Now remember, you must be careful not to hit the sixth string. Only the bottom five strings should be strummed when playing this chord.

In playing the D major key, you may find a little difficulty because all of your three fingers will be placed into a very small area. But when you finish learning this technique, you may find out that this should not be a problem to anyone. First, put your first finger on the third string of the fourth fret. Then, place your third finger on the second string of the third fret. And finally, put your second finger on the first string of the second fret. Strum the first four bottom strings to produce the sound of the D major key.

So, you've already knew the three common chords of guitar. These three common chords are the chords that are commonly used to play many songs. And now, you are ready to learn the more complicated chords. You can start learning by choosing songs that only have these three basic chords for your practice and remember. Practice hard, coz it is by practicing that you will be able to master playing all the chords with the guitar. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!!!!
