Old sites can be re-vitalised by correcting misspelt words, downsizing slow-loading images and removing dead links and excessive clicks to improve the user's overall look and performance of the site. A website can also be made content manageable using a custom-made, user-friendly content management system, allowing the content to be updated with the latest information.
When asked about website templates and if these can offer an alternative solution to creating a professional, well-formed website, the Plus Two team said that the use of templates was limiting.
"This is especially the case if a company is looking to create a bespoke website, as there could be numerous other companies which have used exactly the same template," said Mr Baskeyfield.
"Without any knowledge of web programming languages, the use of some templates can lead to inconsistencies in styles and structure, thus creating a poor overall image and maybe using outdated technology. Developing a website from a free template may seem a quick fix but in the long run may not deliver.
