Keep off fry food during your exam your brain will concentrate on digestion not on your exam syllabus.

Don't use smoking, excess tea & drinks. It will excite our brain so that we can't able to study for a long time & by all odds decrease your energy, and you will become tired with in short time.
Don't avoid sleep in the night just before the exam, for revise the whole topic. These will certain reduce their mental alertness and they are unable to apprehend the topics. So go to bed early in the night before exam.
Preparing for gate exam, ies exam & psu's exam is completely different from your regular B.Tech semester exams. Semester exams are normally prepared for everyone to score good marks, but competitive exams like gate, ies & psu's are different.
Whether its engineering entrance exam, medical entrance exam, MBA entrance exam or CA, CS exam or Bank or PSU recruitment exam, your preparation should be planned properly. Ill like to touch a few aspects here and rest may come from further discussion if you all like it.
