Travellers can go from Bhopal to Sagar by bus or taxi which takes about three hours and 30 minutes to reach the destination.
Bhopal is well connected with Bangalore by rail. Bhopal lies on the trunk route from Bangalore to Delhi. Bangalore-New Delhi Karnataka Express No.12627 is the only daily train to travel from Bangalore to Bhopal. Two Bangalore-Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express trains Nos.12429 and 12493 together run on all the days of the week. Likewise Yeshwantpur-Nizamuddin Karnataka Sampark Kranti Express trains Nos.12649 and 12629 together also run on all the days of the week.
Other trains which have a stop at Bhopal (with the days of operation in brackets) are Mysore-Jaipur Express No.12975 (Tuesdays and Saturdays), Yeshwantpur-Gorakhpur Express No.15016 (Thursdays), Bangalore-Gorakhpur Express No.12590.
(Mondays), Coimbatore-Nizamuddin Kongu Express No.12647 (Sundays) and Yeshwantpur-Delhi Sarai Rohilla Express No.12213 (Saturdays). The trains take more than 30 hours to travel from Bangalore to Sagar. Rajdhani trains, however, take only 26 hours.
Since distance from Bangalore to Sagar is about 1600, not many travellers prefer to go by road route. There is no regular bus service from Bangalore to Sagar. Taxi cabs are available and they charge a rate ranging from Rs.15 to Rs.30 (one way).
