How To Realize Your Passions and Turn Them Into Your Full-time Income
How To Realize Your Passions and Turn Them Into Your Full-time Income
This should be a relatively easy task, but many people get so consumed by work that they forget or don't appreciate what they are truly passionate about. Think about what fires you up, what gets you moving in the morning and what inspires you to look forward to the next day. Just start creating a list of passions and don't stop until you can't think of anything else.
Tip: An interesting way of finding your passion is to ask yourself this question; if you had no job, no responsibilities, no commitments and no restrictions what would you do tomorrow?
It needs to be a passion that evokes emotion within you, as not only will this allow you to write regular, inspiring content, but it will also allow you to convey your passion to the reader. People are more inclined to listen to what you are saying when they can sense you are truly passionate about the subject matter. This alone will put you ahead of around 80% of your competition, who will simply be trying to make money out of the subject matter and are therefore unable to convey the same level of emotion.
This list should not only serve as inspiration for you to remember why you are working hard, but will also enable us to go through your passions and see which is best exploitable to make a living from.
"But I don't understand enough about my passion yet"
This is a common barrier people believe is in the way of profiting from their passion, but hold on. Not yet understanding your passions as much as you may like may actually work to your advantage when it comes to ensuring your readers can relate to your content.
There is a little known phenomenon called the curse of knowledge' which suggests that when we know something, it becomes hard for us to imagine not knowing it. A consequence of this is that we become unable to effectively communicate our understanding of the subject with others.
So by not having a complete and comprehensive understanding of your niche subject, you also put yourself in the position of the reader and should therefore be able to improve the usefulness of your content. Remember that it is not our purpose to be an all-knowing guru of our niche, but to be able to educate readers with comprehensive content that they were not aware of before visiting your site. I will demonstrate how you can increase your knowledge of your passion in chapter 5.
"I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious" Albert Einstein
