How To Remove A Skin Tag

Looking for tips on how to remove a skin tag? You have come to the right place! Here

, we have gathered some useful tips on how to remove a skin tag on your own and how to determine whether or not you need professional medical attention for the procedure.

Skin tags are small growths that develop on the surface of the skin. They can occur almost anywhere in the body, but the areas in which skin tags are most likely to develop are the armpits, the neck, the upper torso, and the face. In general, skin tags are more common in areas of the skin that have folds or creases.

It is uncertain what causes skin tags exactly, but some believe that it is the result of a bacterial infection. Some people believe that they are the symptoms of an autoimmune condition, while others believe that it is somehow related to environment or genetic factors.

Regardless of the cause, skin tags are generally harmless, and most people live healthy and normal lives even without learning how to remove a skin tag. If the growths don't appear to be causing any problems, and they don't get in the way of dressing, shaving, or any other day-to-day activity, it would probably be best to leave them alone. If you frequently rub against them or cut them accidently while shaving, this method should be a helpful way to remove a skin tag.

Before you begin, make absolutely sure that you really want the skin tag removed. Although this is a generally safe procedure, there is some risk of bleeding or infection. For best results, you should attempt this procedure only if the skin tag in question is small and has a narrow stem. For larger skin tags or those that have banded together in groups, it would be best to seek professional medical attention.

All you need for this procedure are:

string or dental floss

rubbing alcohol (70%)

soap and water

The process doesn't involve cutting the skin tags in any way. What you have to do is to first determine the area of the skin tag that is the narrowest. This is where you will tie the string. Next, wash the area thoroughly with soap and water and dry it with a clean cloth. You should then sterilize the area with alcohol, making sure you reach all the areas of the growth and the surrounding skin. Then, cut off a length of string or dental floss and tie it around the narrowest section of the skin tag. Clean the area thoroughly when you are done and leave the skin tag alone for several days. During this time, make sure to keep the area clean at all times. After a few weeks, the skin tag should fall off by itself.

You might think that a knife or a blade is better suited for this procedure. The downside to this method is bleeding and possible infection, so it would be best to use the string method instead
