How To Remove Bing As Your Default Firefox Search Engine

There are various search engines on internet which help you to gather wide information about your desired topics. Sometimes we hate the situation when we find it by default on our Home Page. Bing is also a well known search engine introduced by Microsoft and became the default page for many windows products to get promotion. If your default page is Bing and you wish to remove it from your home page then you should follow below tips very carefully so that you avoid any kind of problem in your computer.

In Firefox, its very simple to change the search engine. In firefox you see a box in the upper right hand corner; you just need to click the arrow in the left of the dialogue box where you type searches. Now you can select the search engine according to your choice.

You can follow these steps as well:-

Open firefox

In the address bar, type "about:config"

Now you will get a warning, accept it and continue,

In Filter bar, you have to type "keyword.URL",

Double click on the url, it will open a new pop up window,

Enter the next text, and then click OK.

If you are an internet user then you can perform these tips for Internet Explorer:

Open internet browser

Click Tool

Now click Internet options

You will find a dialogue box that will show you many options

Click the program tab along the top of the dialogue box.

It will open up a list of new options in the dialogue box for internet options.

Here you have to click on Manage Add Ons, You will see a new list of add on types. Select search providers from this list.

A list of popular search engines will come on screen now. Select the web page you want to set as your default page for internet explorer.

Click Set As Default at the bottom of the dialogue box. Your default search engine for Internet Explorer has now been changed.
